School Meals

We are very proud of our school dinners - they are tasty and nutritious. Even the staff eat them. If your child has a food allergy or intolerance, Sonia, our cook, will make sure they have a nutritional meal that they can eat safely.

Letter to parents from the Head of the catering Service with information on how to pay for school lunches at Messingham Primary School.

Dear Parents,

Online payments for school meals

Schools Catering are delighted to be able to offer a variety of ways for you to pay for school meals at Messingham Primary School.

These methods are:

·Online payments
- are accepted using a 24-hour secure internet payment service. You may make payment using most major debit or credit cards. And you can do this at your own leisure. Meals paid for before 10.30am will be added to your child’s cashless account and can be used at lunchtime on the same day. The minimum purchase is for 5 meals.

This can be done at

Follow the link to school meal payments at the bottom of the page.

  • By telephone
    - payments can be taken by debit/credit cards. Cards accepted are visa, master card and switch (now maestro). Telephone line 01724 297907 is open 8am to 10.30am and 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday. Meals paid for before 10.30am will be added to your child’s cashless account at lunchtime on the same day. Meals paid for after 10.30am may be used on the next school day.

Please note that all payments made online, or by telephone, must be received by 10.30am for your child to be able to use the funds on the same day. Any payments received after this time will be available on the next school day.

Please remember it is your responsibility to send a packed lunch or to pay for school meals. We realise that we all forget from time to time and as such, if you forget to give your child dinner money, then your child will be given a meal, but the owing dinner money must be paid before any more meals can be bought. No more than two dinners can be given without money being paid for those meals.

Please be aware that if you continually do not send in dinner money, then your child may not be given a meal. If you wish to use the service, then please make sure that meals are paid for.

Many Thanks,

Sharon Seddon
